SUMMARY: While 'Nahma' shares a number of superficial features with the Herreshoff-designed 'Nereia' ketches, in many respects 'Nahma' is a superior design. The dimensions for 'Nahma' are a fair bit smaller in every respect, and of course, 'Nahma' has that wonderful counter-stern which is not a feature of the 'Nereia's.' It is apparent from not only the survey report (2005), but from the list of upgrades by the current owner and the overall condition of the vessel itself that 'Nahma' has always been well-loved and well-taken care of not only by her current owner, but all her previous owners as well. In all truth, no greater mark of quality can be assigned to any vessel, wood, fiberglass, or steel! |
