| Description |
To those with any knowledge of American schooners, 'Victory Chimes' needs no introduction! Still the largest sailing passenger vessel in the US, 'Victory Chimes' has had a long career in both the commercial cargo carry trade (lumber and freight), and since 1945, in the charter passenger trade. Able to carry and berth up to 49 passengers and nine crew, 'Victory Chimes' has been maintained in excellent and amazingly original condition for at least the last 20 years and is annually inspected by the Coast Guard for structural and safety (current USCG COI available upon request). An iconic schooner in the highest sense of the term, 'Victory Chimes' is listed on the Maine Historic Register, is on the Maine quarter as issued by the US Mint's state quarter program, and in 2003 was officially listed by the Federal government as a National Historic Landmark. No other vessel is so closely associated with the Maine schooner fleet, nor has any other schooner been the subject of so many paintings. Please examine the full specifications for complete details, many photos (many more available upon request), and historical data. Topsail Yachts is extremely proud to present this vessel as being the apogee of American traditional and historic vessels available to the private and commercial market. |
