| Description |
The charter schooner 'Skonnerten Jylland' was originally built in Karlstad, Sweden as the last Swedish cargo ship operating under sail. Previously named 'Anne El II,' this ship was subjected to a very extensive conversion, modernization and restoration project that lasted for almost two years, at a cost of over 1 million Euros! The ship was previously owned and operated by the Ellida Mission of Sweden and Norway as a missionary vessel, with many miles and years logged in travel from the Baltic and beyond. Now converted to overnight charter operations, the modern three-masted wishbone rig is one of the simplest and easiest to operate with a small crew (only a Captain, mate and two crew are needed under Danish Flag certificate requirements). All ship's certificates are current, and available on request. If you are looking to expand, or create your charter fleet, 'Skonnerten Jylland' could well make a fine addition at a very reasonable cost (offers invited!). |
